Default engine mount and cv boot

I have a 2001 A4 Turbo, recently discovered it was leaking something, the dealership states this is the hydrolic fluid for the engine mounts, and they would need to be replaced. They also discovered the right front CV boot was leaking or broken I guess, and needs replacing.
I went to a mechanic specializing in German auto repair, they did not feel that the engine mounts needed replacing at this time b/c the car does not vibrate at all. They also offered to have the CV boot sent out and repaired and would replace the left side as well. The cost is half that of the dealership.
Does this sound reasonable?

Southcoast, the motor mounts are filled with a purple hydralic fluid, when they leak the bottom side of the mount gets apurple crusty buildup on it, they are sealed and with the ability to lift/hold the engine yes you can do it yourself.

Mssnash, if you want the cv boots replaced they aren't all that hard to do and you can buy a cv boot kit from

You may also want to try changing the spark plugs, sometimes small amount of vibration can be caused by misfiring sparkplugs not misfiring enough to cause a CEL.
