Engine MisFire
1998 Audi A4 1.8T 130,000 miles.
My mechanic says the check engine light is coming on and that it is misfiring. He is replacing the connections from the sparkplugs to wherever they go ( as you can tell I know little about engines) I could not tell it was misfiring- what does it do when it is misfiring?
Will that fix it?
If not what would fix it? Is my turbo on the way out?

When the car is misfiring it will feel like the engine is "stuttering". I just had a similiar problem and needed to replace the coil packs, the spark plug wires, and the spark plugs. Hope this helps
