what year is ur car? if its DBW, you could possible get a carborated engine. but that would be a pits. and a horrible pita to fit it in that cramped space.

the year is 98...what engine would work best? i was just trying to go for the smallest engine possible, maybe i should check with my nearest shop? im not limiting myself to just jap engines, its just the stock 1.8T does not have much power and i wanted to try something out of the ordinary....im really confused
o ya also what would the a new stock engine run me? thanks!
(p.s. i really want a small block v8 in there but doubt theres enough room)

Lol, ya. audi crams those engines sooo far forward, it be a total pita. iono. you could put in the 2.7 twin turbo from thr S4. im not sure how it hard it would be tho. and i have no idea of the cost. go here: http://www.shokan.com/

they have basically any OEM p[art u could want.

well, first of all why was your engine blown?, and why did you buy it that way. The subaru is a boxer engine that is very different than the audi. The 4g63 is out of the eclipse and talon and is not worth swapping unless its a turbo model and they arent dependable at all. As for the v8 its just a bad idea unless you have a lotta money. Just get a junkyard a4 motor and be done with it

uh, buddy for 2 grand I got my A4, full service records and all, oh yeah, it runs too. Search audiworld for reports on shokan, they're not very favorable.

Screw motor swaps. Just make the 1.8 into a 2.0. It's a lot cheaper and few people have done it.
