engine & abs codes
Hello all. This is my first post. I have done extensive research on here for my gf's 2000 Audi a4(stock).
1)I've got a code p0343: from what I've researched, It's either the cps sensor or the timing. The car seems to run fine. Does this eliminate one or can I check the cps sensor?
2) code p1606: from research I've got: check fuse 7,10, &13 or clear the code. I have 2 issues with this. Her abs&brake lights have been coming on for a few weeks so I thought this to be a bad abs module. The lights stay on now when the car is on so I don't see how it would be a fuse. Does this code indicate the abs module or are they 2 different issues?
This car had a recent clutch job but I don't see any links to that. Please only reply with good solid information.
Thanks,
Josh

RE: engine & abs codes
Update:
I went on alldata and did the procedure for camshaft sensor check. I don't have a hall effect sensor checker so I did everything else with a multi-meter. Everything checked out ok so according to the procedure my camshaft sensor is bad. However, alldata says if the sensor is bad then I'll be in limp mode with limited boost. The car seems to run perfectly. I don't notice any loss of power at all. I cleared the codes and both came back on.
By the way, p0343 = camshaft position sensor => sensor-g40, signal too high
p1606= rough road spec angine torque abs-ecu, problem in circuit
