HUH? that's kind of a vague question. What do you mean? Changed spart plugs? O2 sensors?

Default automatic start question

ok dumb question. i dont know anything about cars ok. all I know is that my bfriend took it to get served and he said they dont do emissions on audis. So my first instinc was to ask u guys the audi gurus. Now next question. Automatic start? Will it damage anything like engine life battery life etc... Someone told me that theres a chip that needs to be installed in an extra key. If u can please explain.

Are you wanting to install this to warm up your car in the winter? Audi recommends you do not warm up your car at all. You are suppose to only do it for 10 seconds or so then drive the car under 3-4k rmps until the coolant temperature comes up to 12 o clock.

Bahh! Warming up cars is a carry over from Carburated vehicals of yesteryear. There's no need on our cars, in fact it harder on our engines.

I was told another reason for warming up the car is to avoid busting a gasket before the oil warms up. I was told that if the oil/engine is cold, then there would be more pressure. I'm trying to run this through in my head now and it doesn't make sense that there would be more pressure just because the oil is cold.....

huh.

What was the reason for warming up the car with a carburator? Just curious.
