I heard somewhere that with a flash of the ecu I can get the mpg and other conv. options turned on for my 2007 audi 2.0T without the conv pkg. How true is this? if it is what else can I get from flashing the ecu?

 

whoa! bro... forget mpg if you get your ecu flashed you'll see like 35-45 more horsies. the increased mpg and absence of a rev limter are simply a bonus. check it out.

oh yea im aware of the apr chip with the 250hp increase and plan on doing it later on. I was just wondering if I need extra hardware or if its possible to re-program the factory (without the apr upgrade) ecu to get the mpg and conv items displayed on the LCD...

you should have an option on your LCD that will tell you your MPG its the one with MPG and the circle with the slash through it.

there's a button on the end of the wiper stalk the allows you to scroll through MPG, MPH, avg's for both, and miles till empty.

is that what you are referring to?

 

alright i know im a bit challanged but can someone explain the difference between a Revo flash and a APR chip?? Im running a 06 A4 2.0T? I want to keep my warrenty on the car and am not quite sure the difference and what they each do. the flash goes in with the stock ECU and the APR chip replaces the stock ECU? Also with either of these, do you need to get a upgraded DV, and what are the advantages of a spacer over a full DV?
