how is it driving with one of these short shirters... i heard that the gears kinda feel notchy and are hard to get into gear at times...
??? or have i heard wrong

and I am installing it myself on my '01 a4 2.8 quattro using the audidiy.com instructions but i have a few of questions.

First, I am having trouble getting at the torx bolts. I have a driver that fits on a socket wrench but it just won't fit inside the metal housing. any tips?
Second, Does it matter which of the holes you use on the shift lever and/or the shift linkage? will it affect your throws differently?
Third, Lazer Viking said that you need the spring that comes with the kit but the directions don't mention it. Where does it go?

I'm far from a mechanic and I installed mine myself. I reverted back to stock though, the short shifter felt clunky. Stock feels smooth as butter compared to the SS.

 

what about the b6'ers in the House what are you guys using for a SS, i want to put one in but i cant decide there are some mant different sytle and what not, i see they are adjustible for shorting shifter throws does it make a difference with either the high or low settings
