I have had my ebay shifter in for almost a year and its great. I found out that what they were selling is "Megan Racing" brand shifter for half the price. At first it was odd feeling because it clicks into gear andI was used to the 18 wheeler throws. All and all much better than stock and it did not turn the shifter into a lil nub like a lot of cheap ss do.

 

i put mine in about a month ago..and love it...no probs really..the only thing with mine is that it was missing the groove where the stock shiftknob holds on..so i had to figure out a way to fix that..other than that pretty much the same $hit you get everywhere else...just make sure you tighten and align those bolts correctly or you will end up like me..it loosens up on me when i downshifted so i was able to slide my shifter around..it was a hell of a time tryin to get home..lol but that was my fault for not tightening it down.

the seller was 425450.. but this is for a b6..so not sure how the b5's are

 

well did you replace the rubber bushing with the nylon ones, i didnt have to remove the shifter but i have the uncanny need to use every part. oh in response to chitowna4 im pretty sure the B6 and B5 had the same shifter design.

this is the one u should get. dont buy that one just look for similar ones as this one is kinda expensive.. there are two different kinds and this is the one that people recomended me to get. its the b&m replica
