Weell, I considered the china thing, but where do you think those other intercooler cores on Ebay probably come from. Anyway its just an intercooler and I dont think the technology is so advanced that it would be hard to replicate. The shipping is only $85 bucks, so it'll come in at just under $600. If I go FMIC instead of DSMIC on my B6 then, I will def get this intercooler.

here's my FMIC, it works really well with the stock turbo and a chip, no heat soak at all:

Makeshift attachment.

What it looks like after everythign is back on:

i only had to car away about 5 inches of the bottom of the bumper support metal on each side so it wasn't bad at all, the only thign is that the bottom part of the bumper you have to cut off the clips for the lowers, and thats what the zip ties are there for... lol

I have a 2.5 inch ebay FMIC and I had to hack the crap out of my bumper! HAHA

Turned out well though:

Oh and yes, my car is SUPER dirty!!! But it's been snowing so kind of pointless to wash.

The bumper was a PAIN to get back on. I was originally using a small dremel with a cutting disk and it took 5 min just to get through the metal crash bar! I finally pulled out my 4 inch RotoZip and threw one of those big cutting wheels and it went right through! I went through 2 cutting wheels however. LOL But it's finally on. I might go back in and cut out some of the little tabs on the bumper that you can see if you look closely or I might just leave them and get an S4 bumper sometime soon.

that kit sounds good but the pics look exactly the same as some ive seen on ebay for $250. i plan on going with a FMIC soon and i was gunna buy the ebay kit and just hack the $hit outta my bumper to get it to fit. is that the tallest core our cars can fit? casue if i didnt buy the ebay kit i was gunna just buy a core and run the piping myself and so far ive only come across taller cores.

all you ned to run your own piping is, 3x90 degree bends, and one 135 degree bend, and then just cut the sides to the right length and thats it... thats pretty much what you get from the ebay kit.

You can get the same kit off ebay for half the price. Or do like I did and buy the pipe and ic separate for $150-$200 shipped. No matter what you are going to mod the bumper. I called renn art or someone that sells a kit that does not require any cutting and asked them for the dimensions. I took those numbers and searched ebay.
