dv in reverse?
I've been looking at pictures... I don't understand how the DV can be put in ... in reverse
the geometry of the forge valve seems like it can olny go one way... theres the vacuum hose (thats always in the same place)..
and two other hoses... which im guessing you just switch around? to be put in reverse?
I understand the only difference of putting it in reverse is to make it louder? certainly theres a difference in performance because it is not the same as oem placement...
helpzor
thanks

RE: dv in reverse?
It works the same either way. If you understand that when you let off the gas, there is vaccum pulling the piston/diaphragm on the inside of the dv up, routing the trapped boost between the closed throtle body and turbo back into the intake, then there should be no confusion.

RE: dv in reverse?
The valve fits both ways. The forge valves were designed to have the pressure at the side of the valve unlike traditional bovs where the pressure is at the bottom. The reason for this is because it takes a weaker spring to hold it closed thus allowing more air to pass when the valve is released along with it reacting faster. According to Bosch, the valve should be VW's OEM direction if placed pre-ic and in the "reversed" position is post-ic.

assuming that the springs strength would be the same either way...(even thou cincy said it doesnt need to be as strong in reverse)
just need that ok your ready to go sign... so i can start heh

RE: dv in reverse?
all stock replacement valves are designed to go in the way the old one came out. Your better off keeping it the same way unless like i said before, you move it post ic near the TB.
