deff need it to protect the pos oil pans they use bc if u bottom out alot of people have cracked or punctured the oil pan and they arent cheap to have replaced bc its alot of work to do.

bent, time to call the salvage yard.

besides bottoming out , it protects from all the road crap accumulating on the underside.

I wouldn't drive it... even if you think you won't hurt it, its better not to take the chance.

Why wouldnt u drive it? The car will run perfectly fine. Most guys dont run it actaully. My car is slammed and i dont use one. As long as ur not takin it into the mountains it will be fine..

I guess its just me because I go over speedbumps everyday and such. The car will run fine, I'd just be worried about hitting the oil pan or some other important part under there.

If you'd worry so much as to not drive it... allow me to explain that you have like 3/16" of an inch of plastic protecting your oil pan... plastic, which is suprisingly brittle. I mean, don't get me wrong, it will help... but if you are that paranoid, I'd be after an aluminum skidplate.

haha it wont do much other than keeping out dirt. I dont use one and i have never had a problem. It just a big pain to take it on and off all the time. As long as ur not bottoming out all the time dont worry about it.

youre safe to drive it but i would reccomend getting a new one, it keeps debris out of the engine bay and protects from rocks and stuff.
