Default Does Audi have an extended Factory warranty?

Just curious, I'm about to pull the trigger on a B7 A4 2.0T, it's still under warranty for 2 more years 33k miles but if I, the owner, wanted to extend that could I do that with a factory warranty through a dealer?

I know VW has a program where you can buy more warranty.

I purchased the Audi Care plan for $600 from my dealer. It covers the 55k, 65k, and 75k maintenance; a STRONG sell-point when you go to unload your car. No paying for service...priceless.

No one is really answering your question so I will.

Yes, you can extend your factory warranty through Audi. As long as you are under the original warranty period now you just have to go into your local dealer, discuss what coverage you would like and pay for it. Simple as that.

If the car is not new when you buy it (i.e. used), and if you buy it from an Audi dealer, it will come with the CPO program (certified pre-owned). The CPO program will extend the overall warranty to 6 years from original purchase date, or 100k miles, whichever comes first.

Anyone with feedback on pricing for either Audi's own Extended warranty or the maintenance plan extension?

I just bought my '06 A4 w/ 20k & the CPO warranty was automatically tacked on - this extended the original warranty so I'm covered for another 4 years/80k miles. No extended warranty was offered to me - which makes me think it wasn't an option or they would have gone for the sale.

We did discuss the service plan which was right around $600 as Flarika mentioned above but you don't have to purchase it until theincluded services are completed so you can hold on to the cash for now. Or you can lump it in the financed amount but then you're paying interest on it.

Also consider what mods you'll want to do. Major mechanical or electrical mods may void the warranty on that particular system (unless partsare Audi approved& installed by a dealership = $$$$$).
