RE: do turbo blades on the exhaust side foul up
excessive heat and crap running through the engine can harm to the turbine wheel. So dont over work your turbo, let it cool down after a hard run, and run quality fuel/oil and you will be fine

While it will turn black, there should never be any build up on the turbine blades. It's very, very hot there, & the turbine is spinning over 100,000 RPM's, kind of hard for stuff to stick to it.
Stuff builds up on the valves, do to them being heated/cooled rapidly, & they are a flat surface where stuff can pool, sit & cake up. Not so on the turbo.
If there is any build up on the turbine, it will blow the turbo, it could not take being out of balance, & hit the sides of the housing.

^ i hope that whole post wasnt written thinking that i said crap would build up in the turbo. If you read my first post again i said crap from the engine and then clarified what crap in my second post.

do turbo blades on the exhaust side foul up
is this an issue? if so, what's the best way to minimise it. i'm thinking good quality fuel with alot of detergents will help.
