Default DIY grillz

i just had a quick question. ive seen the answer on here before but i cant seem to find it now. if i put a mesh grille in the front of my car i need to do something with the hood latch. my question is, is there a way to re-route the latch, or should i just cut a hole in the mesh for it? also if i keep the rings, do you guys think black mesh with chrome rings would look the best(almost stock) or should i keep the grill chrome and paint the rings black?

There is no way to reroute it that I know of. I have a mesh grill for my car but its not currently on. You can prbobably just buy one somewhere for 50 bucks. I would have it on if it had Audi symbols on it but it doesn't. It looks to plain for me. Until i can find a way to spice it up its staying off i think. Paint the grill black with chrome rings.
