diverter valve or race valve

RE: diverter valve or race valve
DV recirculates air through your engine from the turbo when you arent hitting the gas.. When the throtle plate is closed there is air in the system that needs to escape and the DV redirects it. The N75 helps regulate boost differently for added/smoother power.. But yeah use the search link at the top of the page and just type in what you want to know about.. This kind of stuff is covered all the time.. Actually, I dont even think half the crap that is posted these days should be, becuase it can all be so easily found in the search!

The n75 regulates boost kinda like a boost controller and the DV releases pressuse in the intake tract during a closed throttle bodie vacuum situation.
I can understand if its another intake or chip question but this was totally different. Not every post should be answered with SEARCH. Just my .02cents.

RE: diverter valve or race valve
well he only had 3 posts so hes not familiar with the search.. But i was trying to make a statement to the other people (some even with over 100 posts) who are reading this thread to let them know that these type of questions are covered every day and the search link will give you more answers faster. The fact is, is if people were more aware of using the search, they will use it more, and it will cut down on the "which chip?".. "BOV?".. "Timing belt?".. "control arm?".. "what mods?"... "what is...?"..."2.8 mods?"... "1.8t mods?"... questions that we all see every day.. I mean this website is meant for getting information and discussions, and by telling people that ask these common questions to "do a search" that will only make them smarter and we can cut down on the common every day questions and focus more on discussions.. Audiworld is a good example of a site where the members use the search religiously and use the forums for discusion once they have most of the common knowlege down.. Get it????

RE: diverter valve or race valve
Hey thanks so much for clarifying, i knew that they both delt with pressure, but i did a google search and an audizine and audiforums search and couldnt tell what each part did, so i figured i would ask, i am new to turbo cars and cars built befor the 80's for that matter, i have built toyota rock crawlers (fj40) from the ground up but this is my first sedan so all the small newer parts confuse me still.

You wont get any additional power from the 710N vavle. It is more robust and will hold pressure better than the standard 710 valve.
If you have chipped your car, the standard 710 will rapidly wear out. The 710N will last longer, otherwise, there will be no difference.
