think of it this way.. the front wheels are ment to steer, when you tell your car to go faster and steer at the same time especially around turns its not so good.
thats why rwd is good. back wheels doing their job and the front ones too, in harmony.

personally i like quattro the best.

 

For the guy who said that he doesn`t feel the quattro... check your tires dude. I tought the same as you when I got my quattro into snow with summer performance tires but next day got some nice winter tires and saw the difference. It is huge!!! So check your tires ! Even you got a quattro or not the tires make a big difference.

As for that magazine article I really don`t know why but it looks odd to me... it was written in a strange manner as the tests were done too. My opinion..

Overall... quattro it`s better.

 

Maybe it's the tires, they haven't been replaced, and are not really like good in winter......how else can I test my quattro out????? LoL....im such a noobie....let me know......

 

Well the main thing would be the tires ( get a set of 4 winter tires, check for some good ones on tirerack dot com ). The second thing would be your driving skills . But check your car too be sure the quattro works abs ebd etc

 

looking at the stats fwd and quattro doesnt look like the quatro seperates in performance too much but if i had a choice between having my old 97 quattro or my new 97 fwd id go quattro.
