dead battery, turbo timer, vag, etc.
Recently my transmission blew and in the processes of waiting for a tow truck, my battery died (kept lights on so no one would hit me). Anyway, I have a sparkling new 2.8 tranny now, and the spec stg 3 clutch is killer. However, when I got it back my car appeared to be in limp mode or something. I can only get exactly 5 lbs of boost, and it kind of bogs if I give too much gas. We thought we'd try a throttle body alignment with the vag, which is apparently standard after a dead battery. When we tried this, the vag gave us an error and the car wouldn't start. Now, initially there was a Mass Airflow Sensor error code (signal too low), after the throttle body alignment attempt, there were throttle body error codes. "Lower stop not reached" and such. There is little help to be found on these codes online, though. The latest development is, my Greddy turbo timer won't turn on. Perhaps someone knows, is it important to turn it off before vagging the car? does it matter? and lastly, WTF is going on!! heh. Any ideas appreciated
