Default Day 4 chipped fault codes!

Ok... I decided to Vag old a4 tonight and got the following fault codes/errors:

P0102 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000

So I hope someone with extended experience can let me know if these registered because of the ECU adjusting to the chip, or what????
I have noticed that the engine's performance is not consistent all the time. Sometimes it will have the pull, and others times it wont. Ive checked all vac/boost lines and dont see anything visually wrong. Its almost as if once the car gets warmed up totaly, its performance decreases somewhat. And what the hell is the "crash-airbag" thing all about?! THANKS

I wouldnt worry about it if ur car is driving normal. Id clear them and see if they come back. Your ecu is still wondering whats going on.

Yeah well it better just be cornfused, cuz i dont feel like replacing any turbo's, manifolds, gaskets, or cracked engine blocks any time real soon.

Search AW. I did a quick search b/c I was curious about that airbag one, but there were too many search results to sit around reading . I'd definitely clear then scan again in a week or so.

The crash signal is sent from the airbag control module to the ecm to turn the engine off in the event of an airbag deployment. Thats a whole buncha intermittant codes which could be a real pain in the *** to diagnose. Just about all of them could cause the drivabilty concerns you express. I would clear the codes and rerun readiness. Then see which codes come back first to give you a better starting point for diagnosis. Make sure the throttle adaptation runs properly when you set readiness.

Oh ok a week... I cleared the codes and drove it around for about 25 mins. vaged it and there were no new fault codes. Ill do it again this weekend probably. Thanks for the help.. Oh and the car drove fine the whole time, it is raining so i really got the tires to lose traction hammering it in 2nd round 3k rpm, im still impressed.. Actually had my first showdaown today with a golf 1.8t. Im pretty sure it was stock cuz i left him so far behind he looked like an ant in the rear view after about 10 seconds. I love how i look so stock yet am so quick! still want an exhaust though and boost guage then i should be alright. Has anyone had luck with a custom made exhaust for a front trac? I know its been talked about, but would i notice any difference in sound or engine performance if i replaced the resonator with a straight pipe until i have $ for a real exhaust? Thanks for all your help.
