oh oh , my bad.. i thought you meant that you just replaced the turbo.. and then this happened

good to hear thats its already fixed

just... make a cup holder and eat the core charge

Its called a good excuse to upgrade your turbo.
gotta look at the bright side, time for a BT, 2871r.

I think you missed the point that this was his old turbo that was just replaced.. ie has to send it in for a core charge.

Yeah, I noticed, its too bad he missed the boat and just replaced it instead of upgrading.

Nahhh, I didn't miss the boat. I deliberated pretty hard on whether to do the K04 upgrade (wouldn't consider a BT setup because of the issues it can raise), but on an automatic with almost 90K miles (that was already chipped for the K03) I couldn't justify the extra expense of new software and the related additional hardware expenses. Trust me, it was REALLY tough to not pull the trigger on the K04 package!

I think I'll just spend the money on shocks and springs, which the car is about ready for anyway!

I see your point, being an auto. Do some coilovers, that will make life good.
