Couple of AUTO-RX questions
I'm about to Auto-RX my A4 and I have a few questions?
I know I have to change the filter out when I put in the auto-rx but can I keep the syn. oil that is in there currently (it won't run pass my 5000k change mark)? When I rinse what oil would you guys suggest? I was going to use Castrol GTX 10w30, is that ok?
Thanks

RE: Couple of AUTO-RX questions
What kind of car is it? If you have an A4 1.8t (which most of us here do), you better be using synthetic. Dino oil (non-synthetic) will cause engine sludge to build up in your 1.8t, and will eventually lead to engine failure. Any of the oils on the link are approved for your Audi:

Most of us here use either Castrol Syntec, Mobil 1, or Royal Purple. Do a search. This topic has already been discussed to death.

RE: Couple of AUTO-RX questions
You have to dump your synthetic and use regular oil... it says so right on the Auto RX bottle, doesn't it?
Auto-RX doesn't mix well with synthetic... so just run some regular oil, ideally 5w40 or 0w40, until you're done with the RX treatment. Then go back to full synthetic.
