DAMN!!! someone beat me to the reply..lol I was gonna say, if you dont want to dish out the 300-600+ dollars why dont you just go with a carbon fiber Hood.. less weight remember plus its just as much if not cheaper..

for that price range i would just go for the oem VIS one, if u have money to waste go for the AWE one which costs about 1000, and then add another 200 and u get carbon fiber frame. lol

 

Can you buy a carbon fiber hood that comes painted to match your car exactly? All I ever see are the black/gray ones on ricers. Even the ones advertised for Audis do not appeared painted to match, nor do the websites ask about what color you want.

 

Also, does anyone know if Audi will be at the SEMA show in Vegas coming up in Nov?

 

You guys are talking about some crazy prices! I've had a whole car repainted (same color - which I think is what the OP wants) for $200 at Maaco, and it was a big car! (not an Audi). Maaco did a good job. Now you're saying $300-400 for the hood? That sounds insane...

 

That sounds really cheap. What kind of car was it? It the paint job still looking good?

 

It was a Crown Victoria... ok, the job was done a couple of years ago but I can't imagine the cost going up much since then. No idea how it looks now... we got it painted before selling... But right after they did the job, it looked very nice.

 

ahh yeah I need my hood painted because of stone chips and what not also the bumper and the rear bumper
