Coolent fan staying on
Hello... new guy here,
I have a 2003 Audi A-4 1.8 Quattro. Last week I unbolted the coolant overflow tank to look underneath it for room in putting something there. I didn't take the hoses off and I didn't disconnect any wires. One screw and it pops out.
When I lifted the coolant tank all the fluid when back into the engine as I thought it would, but now i have a problem. Cold starting the coolant fans are running full speed and the check engine light is on. I ran the car for about 20 minutes driving around town and the fans finally stopped, and the fluid returned to just below MAX.
Well, Several days later it's doing it again. So I topped of the coolant thinking that it's running the fans just because it's low. I looked to see if I disconnected any wires by accident... nothing.
Any idea what's going on?
