Default coolant light just turned on

was driving a bit today and my check coolant light came on for about 5 secs then turned off. another 10 minutes later did the same thing.
i guess i would need to replace the coolant in the car. my question is(sorry for my newbieness)
is this where i need to put the coolant in http://www.fastaudi.net/a4/library/mini/oilchange6.jpg ? if not could someone point me out to where it is.
also i noticed on my car that the fluid in that container is not even half as full as the one on the picture. and the fluid inside is blue colored not reddish.
(the fluid level has been low on that tank since the day i got the car,so its not a leak i think).

another question, is it possible to get the coolant filled up, at a VW dealer instead of an audi dealer? since the nearest audi dealer is pretty far from where i live.

i think it did the trick, drove for about an hour, no coolant light. but as soon as i got home, i checked the level of coolant in the container and it was slightly less but noticable enough than the amount of coolant i put in it. could this be a possible leak? checked around the engine theres no obvious sign of a coolant leak. or could this just be the result of pouring in some fresh audi coolant(g12 from the dealer) over some of the old stuff already in the tank(as opposed to flushing all of the old stuff and putting all new coolant in).

You should do a flush. I have heard of bad things happening when mixing g12 with some other crap coolant. Besides if the car has higher mileage, or you dont know when or if its been flushed, you should do it. But it sounds like you dont have a clue about working on cars (no offense) so make sure someone who is familiar with audi's or european cars does it, and that means it doesnt have to be the dealer. Youll get ripped off there just like you did when you purchased your G12 coolant... Remember?
