cone filter intake help
ok iv done alot of searching because i want to do a cone filter setup just for sounds and i will be making a heatshield from stuff from menards becuase i work there. well my probelm is iv gone to like every parts store around here and all the filters i can find is the ones that are 3"-3 1/2"-4" inlets and with my reserch i found i need one that is like 2.75" inlet but i cant find any. i did find the little breather that has a 1" inlet so what do you guys think i should do is there and way i could get the 3" one to fit on my maf? and one more question i am a 99.5 so i have the ICM now the heatsink that is on the stock box can i just re use that heatsink and place it somewere were it is right side up or do i have to fab up a new heatsink?

not sure about the heatsink but you can find the filter on K&N online site. The one I found isnt a cone though its a weird shape almost like an oval shaped cylinder.you can go to vwvortex and under audi in the diy section you will see the DIY intakefor $80 total. butthe filter will only cost you about $40 maybe?
