<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" color=black size=4>I was wondering how much horsepower the stock clutch can handle and remain reliable on the 1998 Audi A4 1.8T</FONT></P>


<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" color=black size=4>I am planning on purchasing a T-28 Turbo Kit with front mount intercooler (with a few other goodies in there<img border="0" src= smileys/smiley4.gif>) that will produce around 300 hp.</FONT></P>


<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" color=black size=4>If stock won't cut it any suggestions on a good aftermarket piece?</FONT></P>

Whats the stock manufacturer? I think it might be Sachs, they are OEM for Porsches too I think. I would look into a Sachs high performance set up.</P>


Just install the upgrade then see if the clutch slips or not to determine if you need one or not.</P>

If you will get that much horsepower then you definetly need a new clutch. I would look into stock VR6 clutches from passats, they are good clutches made to handle some good power.</P>
