Default clunk noise when stopping and going fixed

Here is my car

2000 a4 1.8t
5 speed

this is what has been done

lowered
new MAF
new axles
new outer tie rod ends
new strut mount bushings
performance intake
rest are all cosmetic

this is what is happening

1. between 0 and about 30mph if i go over the lane bumps with my front left tire it sounds like metal slaping metal

2. when i brake hard at all as the front end starts to dip down i get 1-3 pop/clucking sounds, then when i come to a complete stop and the front end goes back up i get another pop/cluck noise. when the light turns green and i start to move i get the sound again.
If i don't brake hard i don't get any of the noises. i have had this noise for about 5 months now before the axles, strut mount bushings, and maf were replaced. the noise is getting louder and i don't know what the hell it is. oh and fyi my abs/brake light has been on for about 2 months now. the sound is deffinitly coming from the front suspension. it only does it if the front end goes up and down. HHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!

it sounds to me like there's some play in the front suspension somewhere, how are your shocks? it could be the sound of the valves in your shocks if they're blown. other than that I don't know man, sorry.

Default RE: clunk noise when stopping and going fixed!!

i found out what it was today!!

So for all of those who are aware of how to adjust or even out camber for the front tires know that the engine craddle has to be shifted. well i found out that the front left bolt was loose (there are 4) what i didn't know that i know now is the car has to be at curb height (car supported by tires) then all 4 bolts tightened. when i lifted the car up before it was by the frame so all the bolts felt tight. little did i know huh?
