CHECK ENGINE-P1137
Ok here we go. Got my first check Engine light on my 2000 A4-1.8Ti Quattro- 86K, and thanks to your extremely useful forums I discovered that at AutoZone I could scan it for free.
Went there, left a $184 deposit, scanned the car ( the plug in my model is under the steering wheel and to the left) and got a -P1137 - CONTROL FUEL AIR METERING code, that should be my Oxygen sensor(s). Returned the scanner, got my money back on my CC, all in less than 15'
Called my mechanic that should find the part(s) by tomorrow.
At AutoZone they said that the most immediate problem is increased fuel consuption (bad gas-mileage), but seems that apart this it's nothing major. Any suggestions?
Thank you guys! A simple search here helped me solve the problem.

RE: CHECK ENGINE-P1137
You mean is not the O2 sensor? THe car runs fine apart the CEL... I see that there are 2 o2 sensors, one before, one after the CAT CONV. I guess I will have to change both? ( 150 $ each)

P1137 Fuel trim too lean at idle.
Only happens at idle. If it doesn't stall a few days will not matter.

RE: CHECK ENGINE-P1137
I see, thank you.
Hopefully tommorrow the good ole "Bob the mechanic" will figure it out.
I would really love to have the skills, tools and time to do all by myself. Does a "school for mechanics" exists? How do you learn ? Helping out a mechanic?
Thanks for the replies.

It might be the O2 sensor mounted on the exhaust manifold. Might be a vacuum leak.
