Cheap way to hook your ipod to the car
So a couple of days ago i decided to try and hook up my iPod to the car using a thing that i got for christmas, but sadly found out when shifting into 5th the shifter would keep knocking it out. Putting together a few ideas i finally came up with this one and i LOVE it. Heres some pics and ill explain how i did it at the bottom.

What i did was bought an extender cable for my cigarette lighter (10 ft) and ran it under the passenger side panel (under glovebox) out to the top of the dash and under the panel on the dash. I lined it up with where I wanted it and plugged in the splitter, after that i plugged in the car-iPod thing in and stuck them all down with pieces of velcro. (You don't have to buy the splitter, I just bought it so I could charge my phone and listen to music at the same time). I know it looks a little ghetto but it works well.
Altogether it cost me $15 at radio shack and the iPod thing was a gift (i think it cost $50). Let me know what you think.
