Cheap exhaust idea:
First Id like to say I have no emisions in the county I live in, lucky me .
Gut out cat, Take off the 2 rediclously huge mufflers, Replace with stock tube size, Get a cheap ricer mufler off of ebay.

Total cost: $80 some time, an probably a burn mark on my hand from a bead..
Was gona run electric Y pipe. But with a baby on the way, tunings gona be REAL limited.
What yea think?

dont get a ricer muffler off ebay. just make a straight pipe for the first resonator and get a borla muffler. it will sound much better

If no emissions, why a muffler?

because with a straight pipe it sounds like a ricer. my friend with a GLI has straight pipes and i hate it.

Really? When I had my high flow cat and downpipe installed, I had to drive it to a muffler shop to have a 2.5 pipe connect from the downpipe to the muffler. It sounded sweet, it had a good roar to it, won't lie I kinda liked it.

i have a testpipe, 2.5" exhaust, first resonator removed, and a borla muffler out back. and it sounds sweet. but if i took the muffler out (i sometime disconnect the exhuast at the downpipe for ***** and giggles) it becomes way too loud and ricerish.
