how will a strait pipe cause a shorter engine life?

 

strait pipes/mufflers are the only way to go. baffles are horrable on turbo cars. And 2nd on what Jeff asked?

 

The muffler was cut off. and piping was extended to back of the car. Its starting to sound pretty good. Every now an again I get a huge pop. Friend sayd he saw fire come out. Not sure if its true. I had planed on going Straight pipe from the begining. Im only doing motor work to this car. why spend a $$$ on rims, lights body kits, sound equipment ect... when 100% of car tuning funds can go twards GO FAST.
I have big hp plans with this car. And if funds/life permit. Posable bottem up rebuild. Forged pistons, cams, BiG Fuel, Biger turbo. ect..

 

I am probably going to get flamed for this one but here it is anyways....Neon SRT4 doesn't have a muffler on it stock.

I was out playing in the garage today and i took off the huge muffler and the big *** thing right behind it.. it sounds like ****!!! So i immedietly welded my remus on, gotta say.. IT Sounds a hell of alot better.. strait pipe sounds like shiat! but it is cool to shoot fireballs out :P ( i have a bad maf and throwin a "system running to rich" codes :P )

 

yes fire ***** are sweet tell you get pulled over for them. take a vid of your exhaust i want to hear it

 

I have some incar/drive by's, fireballs video's on my camcorder thing, but i dunno how to get it from the tv to the pc..
