Default Center console color change.

I have been thinking for a long time about making the top of the ash tray and the plate that goes around the shifter flat black to match the electronics console. What would be the best way to do this? Vinyl i am afraid might peel off, not look professional, and also not have the same finish of the radio/climate control. i could remove the two parts i want black and spray them, who durable would this be? I'm not sure about the match here ether. third option would be to see if i can get the two things in black from a dealer, i'm going to look into this today and see if i can get some pricing.

any other thoughts?

i have painted a ton of diferent interior parts on many different cars, the trick is to prep it right. before y0u paint take a fine piece of sandpaper, like 200grit, and sand everything down, just to rough it up, then whipe it down with alcohol to get all teh grease off, and then spray about 4 to 5 light coats letting it dry about 15 min between each coat. and that should hold just fine.

Okay,
ash tray cover is $62
the base next to the ash tray that goes around the shifter is $86

I was thinking it was going to be more then that, I might just order them and do it right the first time. the end of next month i'll have i a little extra loot to play with this. hate having to buy parts from Audi thought since my local dealer only has ******** working for them i refuse to go there so i have to drive 2½ hours to get to a good dealer.

hey russian, i might just try that next week, if i mess it up, then i'll just get the factory black parts.

love your car by the way, you have some awesome photos.
my car isn't sexy enough yet to be snappin photos of (the canvas beige isn't exactly sporty), but she is pretty damn fast.
