I doubt its the MAF so start with the cheapest and check all the vacuum lines

i've seen some of ur others posts telling ppl dat they are running rich from a vacuum lines or ECT but i don't understand how dat can affect running rich or not can u please explain for me?

ok bringing back my old post. i still get that damn code. i've cleared it like 50 times. i also get a code for bank 2 O2 sensor 1 and another code for O2 sensor 2 after i removed the front one. i got those 2 codes at 2 different times when i cleared it. i just cleared the one for sensor 2 yesterday and no cel yet but i kno the p0173 takes like 60miles for it to come back. i changed the ECT and checked the vacuum lines. the only air leak i've found is an exhaust leak at the flex pipe. the car drives perfectly fine and i think i've been getting better gas mileage. any other ideas anybody?

 

Did you try replacing the O2 sensor yet?

 

im waiting for it to come. i ordered the front one. i hope the code for the rear one doesn't come back. but p0173 would have anything to do with the rear O2 sensor right?

 

No, the rear O2 sensor just reports the effeciency of the cat converter, but its still gonna throw a check engine light[:'(]
