I had just gotten back from picking of some grocieries for my mom and about 45mins later i left to go bowling. I went to start up my car is it was running horribly. My entire car was shaking. My CEL was blinking aswell, it kind of scared me to be honest. I was low on gas so i drove to the nearest gas statiton thinking it my be some bad gas. I checked the oil and it was fine, just changed it about 2 days before along with oil filter.When i got to the station i turn my car off then turned back on seeing if it might make a diffrence but it didnt. Filled up my tank and was driving down the highway top go to my gf house and it was still running the same. Pulled over once more shut the car off and checked to see if all my sparkplug wires were fully on and looked around for other possible problems but didnt make a diffrence. I started and shut off my car once more and waited for about 2 mins to start it up again. Once i waited the car was fine, but instead of my CEL blinking it was just displayed. Once i arrived at my GF's house i was inside for about another 10 mins and then when we left the house the CEL wasnt on at all. Any suggestions? Please help

 

low fuel might have been the culprit but you need to check for fault codes if the engine is still running rough, has the CEL stopped blinking?? if yes then its probably a stored code and needs clearing then take it for a run to reset things up again in the ECU

 

The CEL is not displayed at all anymore car runs like nothing is wrong

 

right then it must have been down to fuel or a bit of grit/dirt, not a good idea to let it fall below 1/4 tank

 

Bah its good to drain that thing every once in a while. But on a side note I have NEVER had that happen on low fuel. See if you can get your car scanned for codes at Autozone or something.

 

if the filter is changed as it should then you wont get that problem but the car doesnt run on air lol
