hello there everyone, well i bought an Carbonio intake for my A4 at waterfest a couple of months ago and now the right half of my intake (the part closest to the turbo) has turned yellow. Now i heard that a lot of people have been having this problem. anyone here? i also know that they can turn yellow if u use certain cleaning products. i only use water. Have people complained about this to APR or w.e they bout it yet? have they gotten a new one? I was told that it doesn’t effect the performance of the intake so they cant do much but im not done dealing with them yet. And have sent them pictures to further my point.

i just find it stupid that they are charging 365UDS for the intake ( i got it for 300). this is more then i think any other intake you can by for an A4. Then they tell me that as long as i just use water to clean it won’t turn yellow. And now that it has turned yellow they say it doesn’t affect the performance. Well I just have to say i think its bullshit that they charge almost $400 for a product that is defective and that they know it happens in the A4 because of the heat. I don’t know i will let u guys know what happens when I’m done dealing with them but let me know if this has happened to anyone else

 

Are you talking about the filter or the casing its in?

Oh yea well that is BS. Half the fun of the Carbonio is the looks. F that. Id be throwin bricks if i were you.

 

There's a 50 post thread on Audizine about this issue.
Contact Carbonio directly if APR can't help and be nice.
They have dealt with this issue and they are aware of it.
They are offering a full swap for most, just work with them in a respectful manner, and I'm sure that they will try to help.

 

thats funny, carbonio messed up on the UV and clear coat, thats some low grade stuff then
what grades CF was it suppose to be

Thats pretty upsetting for a $300+ mod. Utter BS imo.

 

i had this same problem, and jsut called the company, and i uninstalled mine, and sent it into them, and they sent me a brand new one back. And they paid for shipping, nd overnighted it back to me. Just call the company.
