RE: car wont start need help fast
IWork in a car audio shop in jersey and one of my customers had a similar problem to yours and he had a problem with the ground that was being sent to his ignition wasnt a big headache but it was a problem because his car wouldnt start in the morning. He had an automatic, and his car was 05 A4 so he was still under warranty. Took it back to the dealer and they fixed it within 3 hours. Hopefully u can have luck like he did.

I know its up in there, I changed mine a few months ago.
What you need to do, is get up in there with a multimeter, and have someone turn the ignition to start while you are up in there with the leads on the power wire.
If your getting 12 volts at the starter, then this puppy is probably shot. Mine was acting weak for awhile before it went out, I thought the battery was going, but the battery was fine, it was the starter that was weak.
I replaced it with a lifetime Bosch starter, cost me around $175 from a local import shop.
If you diy, you'll need to remove the bolts to the ac compressor and swing it out of the way, then there's enough room to work and get the starter out of there.
