Default Can you attach your ground wire to the bolt holding the stock amp?

I'm installing my subs and I need to know if it is safe to use the bolt holding the bracket holding my stock amp for the ground. I was afraid any current running through the ground would mess up my stock amp. Thanks for the help

I know that! I was asking why that ground instead of the seat belt or another bolt. Just to be on the safe side.

I couldnt find another bolt that i could unscrew all the way and put back in. the amp kit i have requires you to take the whole screw out, place the circle ground wire thing on the screw, and then screw it back in

I did that in my car and never once had a problem. And I was running 800 watts through it.

Yeah the bolt that holds the amp to the rear deck. I used that one and NEVER had a problem with it.

I used a bolt that attaches the carpet wall in the trunk to the baffle board. I used it because i mounted the amp on the baffle board. If there is a bolt that you would really like to use but cant remove it, you can always mod the wire ring or pick-up a open endconector.
