Can driving "wrong" cause brake lights to come on?
My brake lights keep coming on and staying on for no reason even though I have had the brake light switch replaced. Is there some sort of driver error that could cause this? It's very annoying as it changes the transmission and can drain the battery overnight. 2004 A4 1.8T Conv.

Pretty sure you got your answer in this thread:

How does it "change the transmision" and why do you think you are "driving wrong"?

I have had the brake light witch replaced already, but after a month this began again. No I am not riding the brake pedal. Sometimes the transmission cuts out (can't accelerate momentarily) when the brake lights come on.
The shop said "it may be the way you're interacting with the brake pedal."
