RE: Buying a K04
For a 2000 A4, the most aggressive K04 file uses stock injectors and a 5 bar FPR. With big injectors you need an adjustable or at least a 3 bar FPR. Factoryshould be4 bar. Not sure what software you have, but the GIAC choices are J31 and K05. If you don't have K04 software on the 2000 1.8, you will have major problems with limp mode due to the overboosting from the turbo. You can probably get the K04 chip pretty cheaply if you have a registered K03 chip.

I was looking at j31 but then I need a level 10 tranny since I am tip. For now I am just doing K04 with the K04 software.
