Buying a 2001 A4 2.8
Hi everyone,
I'm looking into buying a 2001 A4 2.8 Audi with 100,000 miles on it. Is there anything that I should look for, such as any problems that the car may have, any ware or just simple things like that? I looked up the kelly blue book value of this car and it is selling for at least $4,000 less than what it should be going for, it comes with a carfax report and is tould to have a clean title but I'm not positive. Thanks for any help.

RE: Buying a 2001 A4 2.8
I think that is a lot to say without seeing the car. A 01 2.8 "Quattro" (which has not been mentioned) with some decent packages and good service records is worth more than 8900. Now with 100k miles and no options FWD, bah.... well then maybe not, unless it has service records.
Remember if this car is clean, what do you see at the dealers? 12k (or more). I'd take a look at it.

Ehh, I just bought a 2000 A4 2.8 Quattro (manual) with only 50,000 miles on it for $9,500 off craigslist...although it HAD been in a couple minor accidents. But came with service records.
Dunno, sounds a bit steep for 100K miles. Make damn sure the timing belt has been serviced (along with the water pump, tensioner and all that good stuff)
