Which to buy: modded 2000 A4 or stock 2002?
I have the opportunity to buy one of these 2 and would love your advice on which to pick:
2000 Audi A4 1.8Turbo Quattro - 63000 miles, $13k
GIAC chip (adds 50HP)
K&N air filter
Bailey diverter valve
Spec clutch - stage 2
B&M short shifter
Koni adjustable shocks
H&R race springs
AWE Drive train stabilizer bar
Mintex brake pads
Tinted windows
Recent tune-up
OR...
2002 Audi A4 1.8Turbo Quattro stock, 30k miles, $14k
I know next to nothing about audis and which year was considered "good" and which "bad". I currently own a 2001 Acura CL Type S and have been a Honda/Acura modder for 5 or so years. I'm interested in modding my next car. I've only test drove the 2000 and it was pretty sweet.
Thanks for your advice in advance.

2002 nothing feels better then to mod your own car. I dont really trust cars that have been moded before because if they drive like I do I know they drove the $!@#$!@ out of that car HAHAH.
P.S.... 100th post W00t w00t =P

Id go for the 02 and mod the crap out of it at that mileage and price. Ya its nice to have an already mod'd a4, and that 00 is not a bad price for what comes with it, but youll love the experience of transforming something slow and stock to a rocket ship. For only $1k more i think the b6 is a great deal, even if its stock.

Boy thats a tough one.
If you have money to mod down the road, get the 02 (less miles!) and mod it yourself.
If you dont anticipate being able to do that, get the other one (if its in nice shape and has lots of service records!) Because the mods that have been done to it are all good.
I bought mine with most of the mods already done. In my situation (good job but many bills, wife and 4 kids) I never would have been able to afford all the modding thats been done to mine had it been stock. I got it real cheap, and made some repairs myself, and t-belt, and all that, and now I have an excellent car that has really exceeded my expectations.
On the same note, I was able to talk to the guy that did it all (previous preious owner) and he was a doctor that was really into audi's, not some young kid, so the car was really well taken care of (babied but driven). So, I guess that is something to take into consideration.
But, for me it worked out, I have a nicely modded car that is very fun to drive. While I enjoy working on cars a lot, it does not bother me at all that someone else did the mods, after all, I still get to enjoy them!
