I am selling a brand new built short block for a 01 and up 1.8t. Its from QED. It will easly hold 500HP and turn up to 9k rpms with the right valvetrain. The original cost for the short block was $3600 minus shipping. I wanna sell it for (NEW PRICE) $2500 including shipping THATS $1100 off what you would normally pay for this same block. Make me an offer though. I am selling it because the waterpump set up is different than my 2000 and costs too much to retro fit.

It will hold more than 500whp easily. It also has 9:1 c/r also.

 

oh boy i wish i had the money... quick question: what would be the best turbo to mount on on of those?

 

you should be able to go garret big turbo with ease like a GT30 you should probably be able to go even bigger

 

best is what the person driving it to decide. Put it this way, this engine can easily do any t3 or t25 framed turbo. Should even hold a small T4 framed turbo (gt4082)

 

that sucks though, did you do all the work and then find out it wouldnt fit? that would **** me off.

Wow that looks hot. If i had a 2001 and 3k to blow i'd buy it. Did you build it your self? Someday I want to get good enough to do things like that my self(in other words like CincyTT).
