OK! So I worked on his car today and I am pretty sure I found the reason why his engine was missfiring... take a look:
New plug on left, old one on right. And no, I did not change the gap on the old one after I took it out. Thats what it looked like!
That is one of his plugs from his car. As most of you know the gap on a stock car is .032. Well the closest plug I pulled from his car was a .035 and then he had one that was a .067!!!! Thats the one in the pic. (Cell phone picture, sorry).
I changed all his plugs to NGK BKR6E's, changed his oil and oil filter, and changed his air filter. I also reset his computer to clear any codes and then fired it up. What do you know, IT RUNS AGAIN! After driving for about 30 min the CEL came back on and I am guessing it's still the system lean code. But his car runs now again.
