Default Brake assist failure during reverse help!

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2001 A4 Quattro which has an issue with braking assist during reverse operations after the car has been sitting for less than 2-3 hours. I usually have to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor to slow and stop the car. The vehicle didn't exhibit this issue until about two months ago and the dealer still hasn't fixed it. The vehicle was purchased around 12/2005 with @62,000 miles. It now has @70000 miles.

The vehicle is a certified CPO car and it's been a battle with the dealer, but that's another post. The dealer has done a brake flush and replaced a rubber grommet coupler that connects two vacuum hoses at the top of the bulk head and it still does the same thing. The brake pads and rotors are within Audi limits according to my local Audi service manager.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Default RE: Brake assist failure during reverse help!

Interesting, my 2000 has just started doing that, but only if the car sits for more that 10 hours. Let me know what it turns out to be.

If it is CPO, with an extended warranty, it should be their problem to fix.
