Default BOV, DV, Intake info i got tonight for Audi's

ok ok.. i know i know... your not supposed to get a BOV for an Audi.. closed look system and all.... BUT. i was at a meet tonight and this guy seemed pretty informed.... had a jetta all hooked up.... had a BOV. i asked him about it.. said every car is differant.. you take 10 A4's.... 1 of those will not like the BOV.. other 9 will. my car (A4) will not stall or foul plugs with the BOV installed. although our motors are close, they are not the same..

is this guy wrong? anyone got a legitimate excuse or reason why this guy would say this??

anyone ever installed a BOV and then a DV??? differance??

can a DV give that PSSSSTTTTT sound?? i want that SO BAD. i am looking to sell my truck and take some money from that and put to my A4 2001...

is there anyway to get that sound???

also... how much boost with a chip give me???

that sound so stupid, the cars are like stamped out and pressed out eveyrhting is the same they are clones, the only difference will be the quality of each car built, since there will be human errors and stuff, thats why some cars are lemons and some arent, some have problems and some dont, but if a BOV is bad for one of our cars then it should be bad for all becasue they are all the same parts (if they are all in workin condition)

unless audi/vw magicly decided to make 1 out of every 10 cars special

ive had both, and to tell you the truth, just stick with the dv, with the bov, i would stall out easily, idle would be crap, car was just not running right, and was i was running rich in between shifts, with a good dv, you hold boost better, and the car idles fine, and depending on what dv you get and if you have an intake like the carbino, you could hear the dv shoot the air pretty loud, with windows the down. and with a chip you could boost and hold 15

HAHA yah that's the same feeling I had when the flex joint broke on my exhaust, all those looks from people on the street.

why would hearing that PSSS make a girl wonder about me? lol..

i am getting 2 differant feedbacks here.. lastnight a guy said it was fine to have a BOV. today PandaXpress said i cant. myaudi98 said he used it for a few years with no problems. which is it? i appreciate ALL feedback, but i am getting complete opposite info... why would a car run fine for a few years and another not stay running???

trust me, i want a BOV, i like the sound and dont mind loosing 0.2psi. eventually i am going to get a chip, intake, and exaust. i am not going to be taking it to race the damn thing every weekend. matter of fact, wont race it at all besides friends on the road around town. just want a smooth looking and riding car with no troubles...

you said if i get a DV and chip it, i will hear it with the windows down... nice, but i want to hear the PSSS... DV doesnt do that. ???

thanks again everyone for posting, i am new to turbo and strive to learn new things everyday
