I cancelled the 2.0L, so it's still in the spare parts room with an 034 standalone, 2.0L crank, custom pistons, and a lot of other hardware.

Nothing like your roommate skipping out on the rent for 4 months and putting you in a serious financial bind.

A tool? I never said he could or couldn't attach a BOV to his car - I'm giving him the most legitimate advice. BOV's for noises are for ricers, and you know it. Unless you mean to say that me putting him in his place consequently results in me being labeled a "tool" or "pathetic".
I guess im a "ricer" since i have a BOV What i do know is people that call people ricers are stupid/ignorant people that dont have anything to say, just want to post or be like some other moron that says the same thing. That there, MAKES YOU A TOOL.
So did you spend your money on that BOV instead of English courses in college? Read carefully:

Wait, here let's cut some more words out:

Still didn't catch that?

Unless you deny all performance aspects of the BOV and just have it for the noise, you're not a ricer. You have a damn good reason to have a BOV otherwise. By the way, I stopped reading your post one line into it. You can rant and yell all you want, I'm cool with that. Let out your frustrations.

If you want to talk about noisy mods that dont yield any performance gains, check under your hood. Its that round blue papery thingy with a U pipeattatched to your MAF.

What performance aspects? A $150 dv does the exact same thing as the stock dv. There are no performance gains unless the one you have is leaking. In which case you're not gaining anything, but regaining what you should have already.

Sorry, I didn't make it that clear.

On a car with a bigger turbo, the stock DV won't cut it, so you need to upgrade it, right? And if you're upgrading, you want to go with what'll hold your boost the best and not leak, as opposed to what'll just make woosh noises.

onepoint8tee, what i was saying was that when I had my evo dv, it couldnt recirculate enough air, so i decided to get the bov. I actually didnt know that there was a 50mm dv, otherwise i may have looked around a bit more. I also custom made a silicone hose for my intake and recirculating the air would have been nearly impossible, or at least a lot more work than i was interested in, so i didnt. the only big deal with running a bov is that your car runs 'RICH', not lean as cyberlogicx said earlier. It really is not as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be.

the stock DV is fine until u start ungrading stuff... once u get a flash... u are going from 9-10lbs boost to 22-24... and the stock DV wont hold forever... thats only a flash.. BT applications gotta have one!

ive heard good things about teh hybrid DVs running 70/30% u still get the sound and barely run rich at all

i love german rice, too bad they know more about beer![sm=icon_cheers.gif]
