Bought my A4 today!
For the past few months, I have been searching the SF bay area market for an A4. After alot of letdowns, I finally found one that had all the options I was looking for.
Heres the specs, I will have pictures up later when I get a chance to take them and upload them.
2001 Audi A4, Silver
1.8 Turbo
Quattro AWD
5-Speed Manual
47k miles
Moonroof
BOSE audio
and other misc. accessories.
I got it for $16998 cash from a dealer in the area. The car is really clean, runs well, drives smooth, no ticking or clunking sounds, all the gears run smooth, and the clutch feels nice.
What do you guys think about this deal?

RE: Bought my A4 today!
From an audi dealer? The 2001's tend to be a bit more expensive than the 2000's, because of the 20 hp boost, and I got my 2000 with similar miles as yours, for around the same price CDN. I'd say you did pretty good, congrats on the purchase.

RE: Bought my A4 today!
Actually, it was from a used car dealer. They had it marked at 18k + fees, etc. We made an offer for $17100, just to get started. She took it to the manager who came over and told us that they are having an ad going out the next day for 16988, so they would give it us for that price.
We paid a grand total of $18710.99 for it cash, out the door.

RE: Bought my A4 today!
wow, now i see that i might have gotten a good deal on my car. bought from luxury car dealer in chicago
01 A4 1.8t Quattro manual.
40k miles
needed: new brake pads, shift ****, few minutes of work to make wiper arm work (bolt was loose)
i paid $12895 plus tax, title, lisc...etc. and did all the work myself for less than $200
have been thinking about selling at $17k - 18k for profit
