Borla exhaust install

RE: Borla exhaust install
When we did my 2.8 Q it was a bitch, the bolts were all rusted to the point where they were falling apart. So the airtools just stripped those suckers out. We had to go get a cut off tool, hooked it up and just chopped the bolt in half. If you have that problem go get yourself a air compressor and a cut off tool.

yeah, that would be the worst case i guess, stripping the bolts and having to cut them and drill them out and re tap the cat andaaahhhhhhhhhhhh. i don't want to think about that - i hope they dont strip coming out. they are soaking all night in liquid wrench. well i gotta get a pic onto a website so i can put it up here...haven't done any of that since creating a myspace profile back in the 2000-somethings.

holy crap. 1) i forgot what its like to work on a northern car. with rust and all. and again, i'll never go back. 2) after accessing what a pita those bolts were, i just paid $65 to a mechanic to install mine. now i know why he verified it was a fl car before giving the quote. good luck.

Well i dont know what the 1.8T is like but my studs were not connected. I just had the Four flat squares that connected into the flanges right after the cats. So we just had to cut the screws loose and get new ones. Just took for ever. Not to mention welding the brakets the muffler and then Cutting and bending piping so it would fit. AHHH Never again on a 2.8
