Default boost spike question

I have a 2000 a4 1.8tQ with a borla exhaust evo ms intake bailey dv and a giac chip. I know from what I was told that the car is supposed to run 16psi after the chip, however, sometimes when im driving and im fulling punching my car it will go above 16 to about 18 - 19 psi... i have an autometer gauge thats how i know. Anyway my friend who has an eclipse gsx with an 18g told me that im probably running too lean and thats the cause for the boost spike but i know audis are the alot different than dsms. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening? If i am running too lean do you think replacing the fuel pump with a 255 walboro would do the trick? Im open to any suggestions thanks.

Default RE: boost spike question

your fine man they can spike that high no probs, with an N75h you can spike 20psi easily and hold 18 so you go no worries
