Ok guys you see my mods in my sig, and for some reason im not holding boost at all. I don't have a k03 sport, so I want to know what years they started on, and what boost levelshould I be holding at?(I never hold boost and it falls to about 8 psi by redline). Any thoughts?

 

all ko3's fall after 5k rpms. its due to it being a tiny turbo. you can make it hold the boost closer to redline, but it will kill the turbo in no time (cranking the wastegate). If you get a boost controller (manual or electronic) you will be able to hold the boost slightly longer than with a n75 and not harm the turbo.

ko3s were on the 2001-up cars.

 

Then why does these guys hold boost all throughout the powerband, with k03 just chip and no boost controller?

If your running higher boost, it takes longer to taper down, but your not going to hold more than 8-10psi readline with a n75.....PERIOD!

 

yea, you should noticibly feel the turbo die out a little after 5k

 

Well it should hold some boost, and not just drop off like mine does. People with my same setup say that they fall down only like 2 or three psi.

Then again, if your only boosting 15psi, 10-11 is only a few psi drop.

 

but i go back down to about 8!!!not 10 or 11.

 

i have a 2001 with the k03 sport and it holds at 12 after 5k rpms it normal spikes at 18-19 if im in 5th gear with the pedal to the floor it will hold at 15 all the way till i let off i never have gotten it to redline in 5th gear. my car is chipped but i have no idea by who it was in the car when i got it

 

So what do you think is the problem with my car then?
