But I am having all the same symptoms as the guy who put this post up inluding the loud whoosh noise when I punch it. Oh man I just want the damn thing fixed. I hear its a boost leak I hear its not. I'm just gonna have someone check everything I don't care anymore this is getting so annoying. Plus I want it working before all my parts get here.I just ordered an HFC, Borla catback, and a K04. I am getting the rest of my supporting mods today and tommorow but they wont do me a lot of good if I get kicked into limp mode.

As for you NuYorker, I doubt a boost leak is your problem since you are hitting limp mode which means you are over boosting. If you had a vac or boost leak you would definetly not be hitting limp mode since you probobaly wouldnt be able to make more than 10-12psi. Since your over boosting, I would check the plugs, ignition coils, and possibly the n75 because when they go bad they can cause fluctuations in boost.

Well you do have a cone filter which will cause a kind a woosh noise at full throttle, I know mine does. Trust me, if your boosting 19psi you dont have a leak.

yes I do, but it did it before I got the intake and it is on the drivers side. Its notmy intake or my DV. It is on the opposite side of the car but I still have pull. when I floor it you hear the motor then you hear psssssshhhhhhh and the car pulls hard if I hold it then the psssshhhhhh all of this sudden goes away and all yo can hear is the motor and intake and it accelerates like Sh*T!!!!

found the culprit... theres a vac line dangling under the intake manifold... its short like maybe 6 or 7 inches... i have no idea what it connects to, as i'm new to turbo charged engines. anyone have any diagrams of the vac lines?

Do you have good power before going into limp mode also. Or are you always with weak power?

weak power... good vac pressure, but i'm not boosting over 9-10psi. i just took another look at my lines, cuz i was def hearing the woosh / whistling noise. my L hose is fine, and i was looking under my intake mani and saw this vac line just staring at me... not connected to anything, i tried to quickly look for where it might go (as the engine was still hot) bc i dont have a garage up at school and its getting dark..

found this while reading up on the zine, i think this is where that loose vac line came from... unfortunately i didnt find this till like 6, and it was already dark... looks like its the first thing imma check once i wake up at the crack of noon

ORIGINAL:

There is a spot where 2 vac lines connect under the intake mani, there is a little sensor under there. one line goes to the front of the mani, and one goes to the secondary air pump behind the engine. that is another spot to check,
